Event - Reception visit Ash End Farm

Reception had their very first school trip to the farm, we had an excellent day learning all about different animals and their young.

First, we all enjoyed our coach ride together and made sure we were all safely wearing our seatbelts.

When we arrived, we had great fun playing in the Big Play Barn and enjoyed having our lunch there.

In the afternoon we learnt about the importance of washing our hands after touching each animal. Then we got to stroke chicks and ducklings that had just hatched out of their shell. We also had some animal food to feed the adult goats, sheep and ducks. We even got to ride on a tractor.

What a fantastic day we had! Well done to all the children on displaying impeccable behaviour throughout the trip.
